Iozzo's on Jefferson brings quality italian cuisine to Franklin
Iozzo's on Jefferson has opened in Franklin. Located at 351 E. Jefferson St, next to the railroad tracks.
Owner Katie Harris welcomes diners into her family's Italian tradition. The restaurant seats 60 in the dining room and a dozen in the bar. The upstairs will remain unused for now.
Iozzo's offers distinct lunch and dinner menus-lunch will feature smaller pasta portions-spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, rigatoni alla vodka and ricotta gnocchi alongside sandwiches like italian beef and meatball subs. Dinner includes larger portions, plus seafood and steak.
Every meal is "all inclusive", served with salad, table bread and Iozzo's signature "sloppy tomatoes" a family recipe of boiled, seasoned tomatoes with focaccia for dipping.
"Iozzo’s history dates back to the 1930s when Harris’ great-grandfather opened the original Iozzo’s Garden of Italy in Indianapolis. After its closure decades ago, Harris revived the family restaurant in 2009. Now, she and business partner Justin Anderson are excited to bring it to Franklin."
